In 2016 Dayana Brooke reached a turning point where she felt travel could no longer be treated as an endless commodity without any thought of the consequences to the environment. It no longer aligned with her own personal views and beliefs of caring for the environment, animals and being a passionate vegetarian for 18 years. She saw a need to change the way people travel and so she set up The Sustainable Traveller, to help people become more aware of the environment by offering only eco friendly travel options.
It has been a slow and steady start creating a change in the travel market and it’s been liberating to finally raise awareness on issues she feels passionate about and to align her personal views and beliefs with a love for travel.
Dayana has received amazing feedback from people, businesses and within the travel trade who love what she's doing with The Sustainable Traveller brand. It’s exciting to finally have a platform to offer amazing eco friendly travel options, tours, products and eventually offer an online directory for travellers to easily search and book. She started the first online cosmetics store in Australia.

Kimberley Chan devoted over a decade to a career as a senior lawyer in international corporate organisations – which meant long, hard hours, high pressure and no room for failure. Whilst she had a solid, well-paying job, lived in a beautiful house in a gorgeous part of Sydney and was surrounded by a loving family and friends, she felt drained of life and by life. She was spent.
Kimberley spent a year of dipping her toes into various meditation styles – from mindfulness breathing to Buddhist, with varying degrees of success - before coming across Vedic Meditation. This technique was, by far, the most natural and effortless practice she had experienced.
“As I continued my twice daily meditation practice, I discovered a way to live and maintain the healthy, engaged and vibrant life I wanted, without feeling drained and withdrawing from the people and things I love. My physical and mental health improved dramatically. And, perhaps most importantly, I established clarity, purpose and a foundation upon which to view my life and my role in life,” says Kimberley Chan.

One of the definitions of entrepreneur that I heard recently and really like is:
"Where once there was nothing, there now is something. The entrepreneur is the person who makes some thing where previously there was nothing"
This episode is all about entrepreneurship by this definition. Nik Mirkovic and Alex Tomic were just 2 blokes in south east Queensland. They looked for an idea for a business and they grew it into a $40million + business n just 3 years.

Dr Sonia now owns three dental practices in south east Queensland.
Dr Sonia is here to change the way dentistry is perceived by people because she believes it does not have to be a nervous or scary experience. She has built her niche in helping people who are nervous or scared about visiting the dentist. Her clients like that she has the ability to connect with them where everyone else has failed. They say she makes them comfortable.
She says the secret is :
if you feel comfortable with someone and trust someone, you create a long-term relationship with people.
She is here to create fans not clients.
Clients even travel from remote area of Western Australia just to see her. She has built her business on strong patient relationship and trust.
She believes in being authentic ,honest, knowledgeable and money and fame will follow you.

In this in-depth interview Hamilton Perkins tells his business startup story of how he takes the bottles gathered up in Haiti by the locals and through all the steps these bottles become these useful, designer travel bags that looks good and are some thing to be proud of using!
Billions of plastic bottles are thrown away every year and that is a problem. Haiti has a particular problem with the plastic bottles. Hamilton has partnered with the organisation Thread Ground to Good which supplies fabric made out of recycled plastic water bottles.
